I have no doubt that Satan has his fingerprints all over our Holy Bible.
Have you ever researched the making of the Holy Bible, or do you just take it for granted, that is undisputedly the word of God, the Gospel, like I used to? I believe we would have to be pretty naïve to think that our Bible has not been corrupted by Satan.
I recently watched an argument on social media between two people, one of whom was adamant that there were no contradictions in the Bible. I myself, have seen many.
How is it that God commanded Achan to be stoned to death for theft, yet He let Cain live after committing murder? How is it that God killed Nadab and Abihu for lighting an unlawful fire in their censers, yet forgave David and allowed him to live after committing adultery and murder? How is it that God ordered Moses and Joshua to “clear the land” of all Canaanites, Amorites, Moabites, and all other pagans from the promised land, then turned around and allowed Ruth, a Moabite, be in the direct lineage of Jesus? Are these not contradictory of the character of God?
We know the authors of the Bible were upstanding servants of God. Moses, David, Solomon, and Paul, among the others, were upright people and very close to God, yet were they not human beings the same as we, subject to the same emotions, behaviors, and perceptions as other human beings? How can we say beyond a shadow of a doubt that what they wrote was objective and without error? Do not misunderstand me, I’m not suggesting they had malicious intentions, simply that they were only human and as humans, could unknowingly be tempted by Satan. In fact, we know Moses was a mess, being placed in chart of a population that compares with a major metropolitan city, and that even his father-in-law Jethro, could see that Moses was stressed and on the verge of burnout. So how can be remotely believe that Moses’ emotions did not have a part in his writings?
And if you don’t know, many books of the Bible were omitted in the 19th Century for money, the almighty dollar, The Bible was so large, it was costly to print, so to save money, the books of the Apocrypha were omitted.
We also know the King James ordered certain things of the Bible changed because it posed a threat to his monarchy. How many other things have been changed?
There is too much evidence of tampering with the Bible that I cannot say, without a shadow of a doubt, that the entire Bible is accurate and valid. That is why, before I study, I ask God to send His Spirit into me to teach me the truth, the same way Jesus taught, so I might know the truth. And when you study the Bible, you have to use common sense. Like knowing God forgave Cain and King David for murder, so how much more forgiving can God be to forgive a murderer? Anytime I read a passage that portrays God in a bad light, I know something is amiss. God loves us the same that Jesus loved us.
And we know the character of Jesus.
I urge you to study the origins of the Bible, and how the King James version came about. I have no doubt that the majority of the Bible is true and accurate, but you must have wisdom to know what is false.
And if you listen to someone who preaches “fear God” and you’re on your way “to Hell”, just know something isn’t right.
Here are a few resources on the translations and compilation of the King James Version. And incidentally, you may have a new and more modern version, but I have no doubt that its foundation is rooted in the King James Version.
Also, there is a new Gen Z Bible out, written in the language of the Gen Z’ers. I’ll post a link to that as well, as there is, in my opinion, not a shred of reverence in it.
