We continue with Ezekiel prophesying the messages from God, warnings to those that have turned their backs on them of what is to come, the natural consequences of their sins.

But, He also talks about the mercy He will show to Israel, and in particular, His reconciliation of Israel and Judah into one country. Notice I didn’t say “Kingdom”, because God has said, “No more Kings”. If you remember way back when the people were demanding a king, that God was opposed to it. He knew it was going to be a bad idea. He knew that the people would follow a king rather than follow Him and that was the case. As a result, the people followed bad kings down the wrong path.

None-the-less, God is a god of free will, so He instructed the prophet Samuel to appoint a King over Israel, and Saul it was.

We read about the Valley of Bones which is a simple parable referring to how He is going to restore the people of Israel. And in today’s political theater where many Americans oppose Israel in their fight against Islam, it is obvious they haven’t read, or believe, or adhere to God’s word. Over the centuries, Israel has been carved from the land it once was to a mere shadow of itself, and as it hangs on to what little that remains, people are still against Israel and claiming they are the predators.

If you remember correctly, in the beginning the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and half of Manasseh were on the east side of the Jordan River, land that is now occupied by Jordan and Syria. But Israel is God’s land, His promised land, and He warns about “wars and rumors of war” until the end, and He also said those that bless Israel will be blessed and those that curse Israel will be cursed.

We also read about “Gog” and “Magog” who many prophesy that this battle is Armageddon, the final battle on earth before it is destroyed. Some theologians claim it will be Russia since scripture indicates they will come from the north, but then again, there are many theories out there, and with 45,000 Christian denominations, who do you believe. You simply have to study the Bible for yourself, in union with the Holy Spirit, and pray for the truth.

What’s interesting though is that the word “Armageddon” is derived from the “Valley of Megiddo” located in Israel rather than an end time event, and there have already been many battles fought in that exact valley. Will the final battle on earth be fought there? Who knows? All I know is that the final battle is between Christ and Satan, and I already know who is going to win that battle.
